While looking for easy ways to incorporate this support into our daily lives and activities, the VPA is proud to announce our new partnership with AmazonSmile. For those of you unfamiliar with the charitable donation program, it is an opportunity for Amazon shoppers to have 0.5% of their qualifying purchases automatically donated to their designated organization. Aside from how easy AmazonSmile is to use, most purchases are eligible for AmazonSmile donations. Once you have connected AmazonSmile to your Amazon account, begin shopping away!  Please share this link with anyone who would also like to support Vis as they shop on Amazon - Grandparents, Aunts/Uncles, friends, you name it!  Below are steps to get set-up depending on your Amazon shopping preferences:

“I want to connect to my phone" :
These easy steps will allow you to register and turn on  AmazonSmile  within your  Amazon  app. 
 

1. If you aren’t yet an AmazonSmile member, sign up at  smile.amazon.com  using a web browser (mobile or desktop). You’ll sign in with your Amazon credentials, and the site will walk you through the process.  Be sure to search for  Visitation Parish and School, Elmhurst  because there are other Visitation Parishes using the program. *After you register, you may need to sign-out and sign back into your Amazon app to see AmazonSmile as an available program for next steps.
2. Open your  Amazon  app and click on the main menu 
3. Click on  Settings,  scroll down until you see  AmazonSmile  and select it. Tap the button for “ Turn on AmazonSmile ”. You’ll need to follow the three-step setup process. *Amazon requires you to turn on notifications to be able to use  AmazonSmile  on your phone.
4. Confirm that  AmazonSmile  is active before your next purchase.   Look for  AmazonSmile  at the top of the app as you browse. You’ll also see Visitation listed as your charity choice on the order confirmation screen.
5. Make note of your renewal date. Amazon asks that you renew your AmazonSmile donation every six months. This is easy but required. When six months are up, you'll have to choose your favorite charity again. If you don't, purchases made until you do will no count.

*iPad and other tablet users will continue to shop using the direct link or search smile.amazon.com in your browser. Remember: bookmarking the direct link is a great shortcut.
