Paper Recycling
Remember to bring your old newspapers, magazines, junk mail, and papers to our yellow and green paper recycling bins. It's a great way to help Visitation School and to help save the earth. Two bins are located in the parking lot off Kearsage near the convent and the other two are in the South parking lot. You can bring your paper goods at any time during the day or evening. Over the winter months we have averaged almost 8 tons per month!! That is fantastic with the cold and snowy weather. Most months we are at or above 8 tons, that is $20 per ton! Way to go!!!
Box Tops for Education
Our school is collecting Box Tops for Education. This fundraiser starts in August and runs through the middle of February. Please save your box tops, cut them into nice, neat squares and have your child turn them into their homeroom teacher. Our school goal this year is $1249. Please help our school with this easy fundraiser. For more information see the Box Tops for Education website.
Printer Cartridge Recycling
Our school is collecting empty printer cartridges as an ongoing fundraiser. Through the FundingFactory Recycling Program, we can earn new technology by just recycling the printer cartridges! Please save the cartridges from you home printer an send those to school with your child. If you work for a business that is using laser or inkjet printer cartridges, please inquire as to what is done with those items once they are used.
The Dinner Dance / Auction is a fun night out for the adults. There is music and dancing as well as a bit of friendly competition for the school children's one-of-a-kind items that are being auctioned. The live auction for a few big-ticket items just adds a bit of spice to the evening.
