Kindergarten - We will get to know each other and the routines of the art room. Our first work will be with shapes: naming, identifying, cutting, and gluing.
First Grade - We will also begin with shapes, but composing a picture with them. We will color and paint with crayon resist.
Second Grade - We will identify pattern as repeated shapes and draw and print patterns.
Third Grade - We will watch a video on all the different types of art and begin weaving.
Fourth Grade - We will make a self portrait in the style of Gustav Kilmt.
Fifth Grade - We will begin working with texture. Our initial project will be a rainstick.
Sixth Grade - We will cut and fold tons of paper to learn the mechanics of pop-outs.
Seventh Grade - We will continue our study of line by completing the still life and beginning a leaf print.
Eighth Grade - We will complete our 3-D construction and our 2-D drawing of the construction. Don't forget to start on your artist report.
