Religion - During this month we will focus on Mary and the Rosary.  We will also learn a prayer devoted to her called The Memorare! In our final unit, we will study how the sacraments strengthen our faith, and how to pray as Jesus did.

SOCIAL STUDIES - In our final unit, which includes ancient Greece, Rome, and the Americas, we are exploring the geography, difficulties, and achievements of each setting.  Every week the students are enjoying thoughtful and creative "Vis News" presentations by their classmates.

Blue Math- We will study geometry and percents. A review of main concepts will take place throughout the month.  Daily review of class notes is expected!

Gold Math - We will study percents and geometry. A review of main concepts will take place throughout the month.  Daily review of class notes is expected!

Language Arts - The 6th graders will be reading another novel, Letters from Rafka, to start off the month.  It is a short novel which we will be doing most work in class.  There will be a project and test towrap it up in the middle of May.  once we finish the novel we will start ourlast theme in the reading series, New Frontiers: Oceans and Space.  This will be an exciting theme!

English:  We will be finishing up with adverbs in English.  The students will have a test on adverbs around the middle of May.  Once adverbs are done with we will be moving on to diagramming sentences.  This can be challenging but well worth it!  We will also be working on a creative writing essay!

Science - We have started a new book in Science this one focuses on Earth's Waters.  It is an interesting book and we will see how far we get with it, since there isn't much time left.  The students will be working on a project towards the middle of May focusing on a chapter from the book.
