2ND GRADE NEWS

RELIGION: First Communion Day, May 1, will be the most important day of second grade! Remember to be at church by 9:15 am that morning. A group picture will be taken immediately following our Mass.
In class, we will continue to learn about our faith. We will honor our Blessed Mother during the month of May.
READING AND LANGUAGE ARTS: We will finish our last theme in reading. We'll continue working on adjectives, word families and writing instructions in our writers' workshop. We will also work on improving fluency in our oral reading.
MATH: We are working on beginning multiplication skills while we continue practicing adding and subtracting three 3 digit numbers. Solving story problems is always challenging so we'll do lots of that during the month of May.
